Dollinger Properties Breaks Ground on Calabasas' First "Green" Shopping Center

Construction is underway on the first privately funded "green" shopping center in the City of Calabasas.  With its cutting-edge design and prime, freeway-visible location, Dollinger Properties' The Summit at Calabasas will serve the affluent communities of Calabasas, Malibu, Agoura and Westlake Village.  The trade area boasts an average household income of $150,569 per year and a population of 109,094 people.  Strategically located along the 101 Freeway at Lost Hills Road, The Summit will benefit from over 250,000 cars per day passing along the 101.

The 70,000 square foot development, approved by the Calabasas City Council in March 2008, follows the city's Green Building Ordinance and is widely supported by residents.  "It will be a tremendous asset to the community and residents have been very supportive of what we feel is going to be an award-winning project," says Robert Haas of Cypress Retail Group.

Spaces will be delivered to tenants at the beginning of 2nd Quarter 2009 with a projected opening date of August 2009.
